First time drinking Jolt Cola

 Every once in a while from now on I am going to review some energy drinks. I drink a lot of different energy infused drinks to see which one really keeps me up and going. For those who actually know me, they know that I already am hyper but I love to get an energy drink that makes me go absolutely nuts. After each review I am going to rate each drink on flavor, energy kick that I felt from it, and if it was worth the money (each one will be on a five point scale). So here’s my first review, enjoy:

Oh my gosh. I went to Walgreens today after the gym to get some stuff. I went over to the energy drink isle to check if there was anything new and I saw the one energy drink I’ve always wanted to try. Jolt Cola.

I never really had the courage to go online and buy a case, mainly because I thought it might suck. But I was so wrong. I got the red Jolt Cola which suprisingly did taste like cola, but cheap cola. But once I got over the taste, I realized the kick I got. I’ve been drinking coffee since I was 14 and I never truly had a profound effect. I could drink it and go to sleep 5 minutes later. I’ve drunken Red Bull, Monster, Full Throttle, Sobe, and a couple of other energy drinks (the amount of variety of energy drinks where I live is limited to mostly just the ones I listed above) but none can even come close to this.

Jolt packs a punch. And a great one at that. According to Energy Fiend Jolt Cola has 220mg of caffeine in it, Monster only has 160. I know there is a can size difference, but I’ve chugged two Monsters and the biggest thing I got was a headache. With Jolt I’m still buzzing and my hands are shaking like crazy. I know it should be seen as a bad thing, but I am so freaking active right now. I plan on trying some more flavors of it just to test them out.

Energy Kick: 5/5 – The BEST kick I’ve ever gotten from an energy drink

Taste /Flavor: 3/5 – Only because I don’t like the taste of cheap cola at all, but I got over this one pretty fast.

Value: 4/5 – I’d hope the other flavors are better, but this energy drink is definately recommended for gamers, or those who just want an extra boost.
